Mary Anne is a trusted and reliable, results-driven Counselor at Law. Our clients appreciate her empathetic approach to their concerns while she directly confronts the legal issues at hand. If Mary Anne is your attorney, you will always receive a candid legal assessment of your case along with a specific plan of action. She leaves no stone unturned while representing her clients. She works on behalf of those with substantial injuries, and for Delaware consumers who often have no one else to help them battle corporations and debt collectors, as well as illegal credit reporting. The FDCPA and FCRA laws provide an avenue for individual consumers to vindicate their rights and take charge of their financial futures.
Mary Anne considers it a privilege to be able to use her skills and training to help individuals stand on equal footing with large companies who oppose them—and she has the skills and abilities to do so. She graduated at the top of her class and was valedictorian of her class at Widener Law School. She obtained a prestigious Wolcott Fellowship. As a Fellow, she clerked for our Delaware Supreme Court, specifically for Justice Maurice Hartnett. Upon graduation, she clerked for the Delaware Superior Court Judge Richard Cooch. She has an active interest in criminal defense matters and clerked for the Delaware Public Defender’s Office, primarily for the appellate division. She also worked for the Delaware Secretary of State on special projects, including a review of Board of Pardons applications by persons serving minimum mandatory drug sentences.
As a Lawyer since 1995, Mary Anne’s experience includes practicing civil litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, primarily in the areas of personal injury, consumer law and contract law. She has worked pro bono for the Office of the Child Advocate and the Office of Defense Services, and routinely participates in free expungement clinics for the public.
